So, my mom and younger brothers and I have opened up a family shop on Etsy.com. The shop is called MARSBazaare.

We'll be selling a variety of things - my mum and I like to bead jewelry, my brother paints and draws, and I am an amateur photographer. Right now there is one photograph up available as a print.

Just thought I'd share!

My friend Jade and I decided to take up the NaNoWriMo challenge - next summer.

We come to an impass in November! Our choice is either study for midterms, lab exams, and finals, do research for papers, and generally give ourselves a fighting chance at passing our classes, or write our novel.

My novel is unlikely to support me for the rest of my life.

The likelihood that good grades in university will aid in my getting into the grad school I want and thus aiding in supporting me for the rest of my life? MUCH HIGHER.

But at the same time, we want to try the challenge!

SO. We creating a facebook group called "University Student's Novel Writing Month", and we plan to take the 50k in a month challenge next summer.

So, if you're on facebook and interested in doing it with us - even if you've done it in November and you just want another crack at it, you should mosey on over to the group. Just because it's labeled for university students is no reason to exclude people, it's just called that because it's mostly students who have a hard time with the November time frame.
